I have been involved with Special Olympics Connecticut my whole adult life and it has been really educational for me. My Special Olympics journey started in 1970 at the Mountain Laurel School for Special Needs Children in Hartford, Connecticut. Ken Bragg was the physical education and basketball coach at the Mountain Laurel School and helped me get started in my sports career. I was a basketball player at the Mountain Laurel School until my graduation and then I became the team manager for three years. I am still involved in basketball as a player for the HARC Unified® Team called the Bobcats.

It has been a pleasure being HARC's global ambassador for Special Olympics and I hope and plan to be involved for many years to come.
