My name is Scott Martin and I am a Global Messenger for the Special Olympics. I live in Groton, CT and work at the University of Connecticut's Avery Point campus. My duties include delivering mail and assisting the director of athletics. I enjoy spending time with my many friends throughout the community.

I have been competing in the Special Olympics since 1977. Since then I have won numerous medals in basketball, volleyball, and track & field. I currently compete in track & field.

Participating in the Special Olympics allows me to meet many different people, help younger Special Olympians, and to build long lasting friendships. I like to know that I can make a difference.
