I have been a Special Olympics Athlete for 11 years and now I am a new Global Messenger. I look forward to talking to new people and telling them about our organization. Special Olympics has also given me lots of fun things to do too like the Torch Run, Dream Ride and the Channel 30 Health and Wellness Festival.

My favorite fundraiser is the Penguin Plunge. I get to be the penguin and march wit h the plungers. I love to play basketball with my friends. When I'm on the bench I cheer loudly for my team. I like to swim the backstroke. I also like to bowl and get lots of strikes. But most of all I like learning how to improve my skills from the great coaches and volunteers that help me. I am also grateful to my speech coach Christy!

I work at the Hartford Aetna in the dish room and have been there for four years. I am grateful I have a wonderful job to go to everyday and some of my co-workers are athletes too. I live at home with my parents and my best friend - my dog Elvis.

I LOVE THE RED SOX! I watch them all season. I also have gone to several NASCAR races and am a huge Jeff Gordon fan. When I am not playing PS2 or talking to my friends on the phone, I am often out to dinner, at the mall, bowling alley or the movies.

My favorite part of Special Olympics is meeting lots of friends.
