2019 Dream Rider Registration Form for Special Olympics Athletes

For all athletes other than Connecticut:Athletes are selected to attend Dream Ride weekend by their state Special Olympics program. Once you have been selected, your state program will make your hotel and transportation arrangements. If you have not been selected but are planning to attend and cover your costs, please let us know what your arrival and departure days will be and what hotel you will be staying at for the weekend. The Hartford Farmington Marriott is recommended, as athletes registered through a local program will be staying there. See link below for a list of nearby hotels.

Mini Golf

Athletes can practice their golf swing and sample ice cream specialties at Farmington Miniature Golf & Ice Cream Parlor on Saturday, August 24th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Mini golf on the 18-hole miniature course will be offered to Dream Ride participants. 1048 Farmington Avenue (Route 4), Farmington. For those athletes staying at the hotel – transportation will be provided to and from the site. Space is limited.

Unified Fishing

The 6th Annual Unified Fishing Tournament will be held on Saturday, August 24th, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Farmington Club. Athletes are welcome to come out and try their hand at fishing. Poles and bait will be provided. For those athletes staying at the hotel – transportation will be provided to and from the Farmington Club.

Yard Games

We will again offer Bocce and Corn Hole on Saturday, August 24th from 9 to 11:30 a.m.


For those athletes that prefer to kick-up their heels, we will offer a Zumba class on Saturday, August 24th from 9 to 11:30 a.m. 

Make a "Dream Cruise" Come True

The Dream Cruise will begin and end at The Farmington Club. Participants will enjoy cruising the Farmington Valley in an exotic or classic car. All drivers are screened through Special Olympics Connecticut. Athletes MUST be preregistered for this event!

Dream Ride Party

Join us for the Dream Ride Party on Saturday, August 24th from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the Farmington Polo Grounds. There will be delicious food, live music, amazing prizes, raffles and an unforgettable experience for athletes! Shuttles will run to and from The Farmington Marriott and the Hampton Inn.

Dream Ride Day  

The motorcycle ride out of the Farmington Polo Grounds is starting at 10 a.m. Opening Ceremonies will begin at 9 am.
