"In Unified Sports, we learn how to talk to each other. We learn how to say what we mean clearly, listen to other people and solve problems together.
I've made so many friendships from playing on this team that I probably wouldn't have without it. I still have Partners that check in on me and text me even though they graduated a few years ago. Luke, one of the Partners this year, is really good at communicating and helping everyone out.
We also learn to value how everyone is different and being different is a good thing. In Unified Sports, team members have different abilities and backgrounds and we even come from different schools on my team. We learn how to appreciate and respect these differences because we all have something special to offer and everyone is important to the team.
In Unified Sports, we have to work as a team to win. As we work together, we learn to be more confident in ourselves."
