Forms and Information for Volunteers
Volunteers are an integral part of what keeps Special Olympics Connecticut running. From short-term to long-term volunteering opportunities like coaching, becoming a Unified Sports® Partner, or assisting at a sports competition, you too can support our athletes and the organization in everything we do. Below are the forms, applications, and required training needed to apply or reapply as a Class A or Class B volunteer.
Class A (Ongoing) Volunteer Resources
To become an ongoing or long-term volunteer, you must fill out a Class A Volunteer application. Volunteers over the age of 18 must also complete the online Protective Behaviors Training.
Ongoing volunteers must resubmit a Class A Volunteer application to SOCT every three years. Applications can be filled out and submitted online or printed and mailed to Special Olympics Connecticut, Attn: Katie York, 2666 State Street Suite 1, Hamden, CT 06517

Ongoing volunteers who are 18 or older must also complete the online Protective Behaviors Training Program every 3 years. Upon completion, you and your local program representative will receive an email confirmation that the course was taken.
Class B (Event) Volunteer Resources
Class B (Event) Volunteers must fill out an application for the specific event at which they will be volunteering. To view current opportunities to become an event volunteer and download event applications, visit our Become A Volunteer page.
