Seaside Saybrook is looking for a new Local Coordinator!
Special Olympics Seaside Saybrook, servicing multiple town as far west as Madison, as east as East Lyme, and as north as Chester is looking for new leadership for Alpine Skiing, Sailing, and Volleyball. This program is community-based and works with both youth and adults. The Local Coordinator is responsible for local volunteers, families, and athletes, assuring they have opportunities to compete by securing venues and completing all necessary paperwork. Help needed in Wethersfield!
Wethersfield Special Olympics which is part of Park and Rec is looking for help in the following sports! We are also in high need of female workers, either volunteers and/or looking for employment.
Floor Hockey:
- Looking for 1 or 2 volunteers. Possibility of paid hours if one of two coaches are out.
- Days: Thursday, Time: 5:30 – 6:30, Dates: December 15th – February 9th.
- Location: Wethersfield Pitkin Community Center.

LARC Special Olympics is looking for help in the Torrington Area!
Cross Country Skiing: Looking for Head coach for 6 athletes, the details are as follows:
- One day tournament.
- Meet at Camp MOE in Torrington, CT on Saturday mornings from 10:00am till 11:30am from January 8th through February 19th.
- Have your own equipment.
- Be familiar with Cross Country skiing.
- Arrive by 9:30am – if needed to make trails for the athletes to follow.
Cross Country Skiing: Looking for volunteers teen through adult, the details are as follows:
- Meet at Camp MOE in Torrington, CT on Saturday mornings from 10:00am till 11:30am from January 8th through February 19th.
Alpine Skiing: Looking for coach and volunteers (adults) for alpine skiing and/or snowboarding, the details are as follows:
- Meet at Mohawk Mountain in Cornwall on Monday evenings starting in January through February.
- Practice times are 6:00pm till 8:00pm – athletes/family members please arrive earlier around 5:30pm.
- Intermediate or expert skiers need their own equipment.

LARC Special Olympics is looking for help in the Torrington Area!
Looking for coach and volunteers (Unified Partners), as well as teens to be Unified Partners for relay running events. For track/field and race walking, the schedule starts in April 2023 till June 2023 – day of week has not been confirmed, but time frame is after 6pm due to using Torrington High School track.
