Dylan Dolyak

Oxford, CT

Dylan Dolyak is a Unified basketball partner at Oxford High School, a Unified Champion School in Connecticut, where he became involved with Special Olympics during the current school year through Unified events and activities. Through his experience, Dylan has grown more confident meeting new people, trying new things, and building meaningful connections with teammates.

He is most proud of his academic success and is a member of the National Honor Society. Outside of school, Dylan enjoys playing soccer, fishing, and golf, and gives back to his community by volunteering at his local food bank. He credits his father as his biggest role model for his strong work ethic and dedication to family.

A defining moment in Dylan’s life was stepping up to support his family during a time when his grandfather was seriously ill, helping take on additional responsibilities at home. That experience strengthened his sense of responsibility and resilience.

Dylan is excited to represent Connecticut at his first Special Olympics USA Games and looks forward to competing alongside his teammates while continuing to grow through sport, teamwork, and new experiences.
