Shayan Ghavami
Unified Basketball Teammate

Shayan Ghavami is a Unified Sports® teammate and member of the Oxford High School Unified basketball team going to the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games. Shayan is 16 years old and has been involved in Special Olympics Unified Sports® for the past year. He says the experience has “changed his life in huge ways.”
Shayan is very proud of how much he has accomplished. He admires his family and friends the most because they all believe in him.
In addition to participating in Special Olympics, Shayan enjoys swimming, playing soccer, and hanging out with his friends.
To prepare for his first USA Games, Shayan is spending extra time training with his teammates at Oxford High School.
