Unified Softball Partner

North Branford, CT

Brianna “Brie” Passero will participate in Unified Sports® softball at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games as a Unified partner.

Brie lives in North Branford and is a state auditor at the Auditors of Public Accounts in Hartford. She has been volunteering with Special Olympics since she was in elementary school. “Special Olympics has significantly changed my life, for the better, in many ways,” she says.

Brie played field hockey in college and earned awards for both sports and academics. She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Eastern Connecticut State University. In her free time she plays in multiple softball leagues, bartends and loves to hang out with her fiancé, family and friends. She loves being an auntie to her nephew Carter and a pet mom to her golden doodle Charlie, and her two kittens Razzy and Lexi.

“My hero will always be my grandpa” says Brie. Her grandfather was her best friend and always pushed her to be the best person she can be.

Brie has never been to a Special Olympics USA or World Games, but she has participated in Special Olympics locally as a Unified partner for basketball, floor hockey, and softball for many years with North Haven; whom she considers all the coaches, partners, athletes and staff family.

To prepare for her first USA Games, Brie plays softball four times a week and weight trains three times a week. “USA Games is a life changing opportunity. The athletes inspire me every day to be a better person” she says.
