Bryan Carambot is a Unified Sports® partner who’s a member of the softball team going to the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games. Bryan is 28 years old and lives in New London. He works at General Dynamics Electric Boat as a Senior Detail Planner.

He has been involved in Special Olympics for five years and has participated in bowling and volleyball in addition to softball. He’s competed in two national Special Olympics bowling tournaments where he earned a bronze, a gold and two silver medals.

“Special Olympics has changed my life so much. Being able to volunteer and put a smile on all of the athletes' faces has given me a sense of purpose that I have never had before,” says Bryan.

Bryan has been coaching both basketball and baseball since he was 16 years old and currently coaches junior varsity basketball at Coventry High School in addition to his involvement in Special Olympics.

“Attending the USA Games means the world to me,” he says. “Going over there and competing against other highly skilled teams is what this is all about.”

To prepare for the Games, Bryan is playing in two slow pitch softball leagues and continues to work out and attend practices with his teammates.
